Linda looked in her rearview mirror (反光镜) and could see a line of cars behind her. The drivers were honking (按喇叭). At last, the line of cars began to pull out and go around her. Linda was worried. She looked at her watch. “I’ll never make it!” she said.

　　She decided that she should get out of the car, open the hood ( 车盖)，and look at the motor. She knew almost nothing about the car but thought that if she stood in front of the car, and seemed to be helpless, someone might stop to help her.

　　She unlocked the hood, opened the car door, and got out carefully. The line of cars behind her went on honking. A few drivers looked at her angrily as they went by.
