I’ve heard that original English books on some of our major subjects will be used next term.
It’s good news because we will learn something up-to-date from these books and improve our reading comprehension as well.
Using English textbooks is a tendency(趋势)nowadays. Some first-class universities such as Beida and Tsinghua are doing so. As a result, it will be easy and natural for students to pass the CET-4, even CET-6 of course. It may be a great challenge for some students who are poor in English, but what I’m concerned with is the possibility of carrying out this policy. As we know, it requires teachers to teach in two languages—Chinese and English.
However, some teachers in our college have not this ability, and they cannot express their ideas in English fluently. This situation makes us disappointed. When all the students are ready, what about our teachers?
